Cannot read the printing in the greayscale portions of the Palantir quest module. Any help?

Page 14 (according to module) / 15 (according to Adobe Reader) is extremely hard to decipher (It starts out sth. like "The Great Gate of Minas Tirith is a mighty vision of mithril and steel..."), as well as the following pages (15, 16 and then again on page 23). Beginning with page 34 the quality of the greyscale prints gets nice.
