Sorry we haven't posted on the website, we had posted this on the merp@merp.com email list:

"Just an FYI for those that were not in the chatroom and previously

notified.

We had a significantly important server go down beginning Thursday, March 27th, 2008.

It provided many services to many different sites, including the

merp.com and related communities. The most important services being DNS

related.

We had some of the services back up in a few hours, but others not

operational for over 24-48 hours.

The chatroom is currently still offline, as are some of the

mirrors/downloads.

Over the next few days all services should be fully back online.

We've implemented some significant changes to try to avoid this single

point of failure being such a serious issue again in the future.

We are still in process of cleaning up the mess this caused, moving services to various other servers, etc.
