If you have a map, adventure, campaign, essay, artwork, music, or anything you think would be of interest to Tolkien-related role-playing gaming, please send it ASAP. At least let us know of any works you might be submitting as well and we're happy to look over your rough drafts or even idea proposals if you need a little feedback or guidance
from the editors and/or reviewers.

Also, if you have other content related in response to previous issue submissions, please send those as well. It can be a letter to the editor, response to the maps or essays, etc.

Finally, feel free to submit content for future issues. The more we get in our queue, the more likely we can keep our quarterly schedule smoothly.

If your submission is less than 1 MB in size, you can simply email it to us.

To submit your content, just send to the following email address:

submissions at omzine dot org

If your submission is larger than 1 MB. Please create a (free) account on the Other Minds website ( http://www.other-minds.com ), and then upload the content to your folder. Set it to "private" (instead of the default "public draft" after you upload),

then email us to let us know about your submission with a link to it. We will then download it, and remove it from your folder and put it into the review/editorial queue.

Please send your submissions in either Open Office (Writer & Sheet) or MS Office (Word or Excel) formats for text-based submissions (do not send as PDF because we need to be able to reformat the content to fit the magazine layout). For map and art submissions, please only send in standard PNG, GIF or JPEG format (not TIFF, PSD, or other formats please). Resolution must be at leas 300 dpi, but no greater than 600 dpi.

Additionally, see the discussion in the forums related to detailing what parts of your submission would be considered "official", "optional", and "house".

The deadline for all submission proposals/drafts is October 1st, 2008. This allows time for revisions, editorial changes, revisions by you the content provider, etc.

We look forward to your submissions!

"I would draw some of the great tales in fullness,
and leave many only placed in the scheme, and sketched.
The cycles should be linked to a majestic whole,
and yet leave scope for OTHER MINDS and hands,
wielding paint and music and drama..."
- John Ronald Reuel Tolkien, from a letter written to Milton Waldman, ca. 1951

"He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine;
as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me.
That ideas should freely spread from one to another over the globe,
for the moral and mutual instruction of man, and improvement of his condition,
seems to have been peculiarly and benevolently designed by nature, when she made them,
like fire, expansible over all space, without lessening their density at any point,
and like the air in which we breathe, move, and have our physical being,
incapable of confinement or exclusive appropriation."
--Thomas Jefferson, in Writings of Thomas Jefferson,
vol. 6, H.A. Washington, Ed.,1854, pp. 180-181.
